The BERGEON 7260 is a professional tool dedicated to screwed watch bracelets and screwed case backs. It removes flat, Phillips, single-slot and double-slot screws from the bracelet links or from the case without scratching the surrounding metal, making it indispensable for serviceable luxury watches.

Product overview

BERGEON is one of the oldest names in Swiss watchmaking tools, founded in 1791 in Le Locle. The 7260 is part of their professional range and is found on the bench of certified watchmakers who service Rolex, Omega, Breitling, IWC, Tudor and many other brands whose modern bracelets use screwed link pins rather than friction pins. The tool is made of Delrin, an engineering polymer that holds the watch firmly without leaving micro-scratches on polished or brushed surfaces.

Two screwdriver blades, 1.40 mm in diameter, lock into the knurled handle. They cover the vast majority of screw heads used on bracelets and case backs. An adjustable plate underneath the work surface lets you set the height to match the bracelet, and a recess provides clearance for deployant clasps so you do not have to disassemble the buckle to work on the links.

When to use it

Use the BERGEON 7260 every time you need to resize, repair or service a watch bracelet whose links are held by screws rather than spring pins. It is also the right tool for screwed case backs on modern luxury chronographs and for any intervention where you cannot afford a slipped screwdriver mark on the metal. Watchmakers, jewellers, dealers and serious collectors of Rolex Submariner, Omega Seamaster, Breitling Navitimer and similar references all use this reference for daily work.

How to install / use

  1. Place the bracelet flat on the Delrin work surface and adjust the height of the support plate.
  2. Choose the screwdriver blade that matches the screw head and lock it into the knurled handle.
  3. Position the blade vertically on the screw and apply firm, steady downward pressure.
  4. Turn anti-clockwise to unscrew; collect the screw immediately in a parts tray so it is not lost.
  5. Slide the link pin out, remove the link and reassemble the bracelet to the desired length.
  6. Refit the screw, tighten gently and finish by hand; do not over-torque to avoid stripping the thread.

Quality & origin

Designed and produced in Switzerland by Bergeon, the 7260 follows the same quality standard as the rest of the professional Bergeon range. Delrin guarantees long life without deforming and protects the bracelet finish. The screwdriver blades are hardened tool steel and can be re-sharpened if needed. Recommended for any workshop that services high-end timepieces.

FAQ

Does the 7260 work on Rolex bracelets?

Yes, the 1.40 mm blades fit the screws found on Rolex Oyster and Jubilee bracelets as well as on most Omega, Tudor and Breitling references.

Can I use it on a screwed case back?

The tool is designed primarily for bracelets, but the adjustable plate also allows light work on screwed case-back screws of compatible diameter. A dedicated case-back opener is still recommended for the back itself.

Is it for left-handed users too?

Yes, the symmetrical design and knurled handle work equally well for left- and right-handed watchmakers.
